First thing we did was go and have a delicious breakfast. In Finland a popular breakfast is porridge and jam. I usually am not a big fan of porridge, but I decided to try it and it was really good. I also had a typical European crescent. We spent a long time wandering around the ship and looking at the cool views. When we were waking up we were passing by the Swedish coast, and Sari pointed out Stockholm and we were able to watch it for awhile while eating breakfast. The archipelagos in Sweden and Finland are stunning to watch and they extend out for miles from the coastline. In both places it is common to have a summer home on the archipelagos, and often people have to take a boat or a ferry just to get to their house. Ville the Viking was the cruise’s mascot. He is a big white cat who is very popular with the kids. And we saw him 3 or 4 times throughout the whole cruise. We had a late lunch at 2:30 at the buffet. It was the most amazing food ever. 5 different kinds of traditional Finnish melt in your mouth salmon, Caviar, gourmet cheeses and meats, 10 different kinds of salads, sausages, meatballs, etc. Then the dessert was amazing. Carrot cake, Tiramisu and my personal favorite, 4 different types of macaroons. It was all you can eat and drink. I’m not gonna lie, I had a couple glasses of cider. All of this was at the very front of the ship, so we could watch the view. I also bought my first bottle of wine at the shopping center. Though I was having a good time, there were some people that I wish I could've shared all of this with. they all convinced me to sing karaoke, even though I am super sick. So I sang “Love Song,” by Sara Bareilles and had a good time. Near the end I was starting to feel particularly bad, probably because my medicine had run out, so Sari convinced me to take the day off from school tomorrow. It was a two and a half hour drive home from Turku and I collapsed in bed.
