Mama's Here!

This has been a wonderful, albeit strange week with my mom being here. It was so amazing to see her again. There are many reasons why it has been strange. I have spent the past 8 months building a life all by myself, one that she has not physically been a part of. Having her suddenly here was a bit surprising. Don't get me wrong, having her here was the best thing ever, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a little weird. She met my host family, and my boyfriend, Beni, and Beni's family. She met my English teacher, Suvi, and I showed her all around the places that I have been living. Mostly though, it was just the two of us (sometimes Beni came along too) and it was amazing. One night Beni met us at a bar in Helsinki and for the first time in my life I got tipsy with my mom. It was AWESOME!!!
