Today I went and saw Aatu play hockey, he had two games, and he won both. His first game was 12-0 and his second was 14-0. He scored several times and it is amazing to watch such little people play so well. Their team is really very good. We had a blast doing karaoke at home tonight. They had a couple English songs, but mostly I just sat back and watched them sing some Finnish Pop hits. It was hilarious, but also really cute. Aatu was really sweet with Aada, but pretty mean to Venla. He made her really upset by telling her she was bad at singing. I am starting to recognize some popular Finnish Pop songs when they come on the radio, and Sari has been telling me about all the different pop artists. Chick, Robin, Jenni Vartiainen, and Olly Murs, are just some of the ones that I have started listening too. There is this stereotype that all Finns are obsessed with heavy metal music. This is not the case. Actually when I asked a couple of my friends about it they were really surprised and confused about why Finland is called the heavy metal capital of the world. I have yet to meet someone who is obsessed with it. Most people are familiar with American Pop music, like Adele (they pronounce it Ah-del-lei) Taylor Swift, Etc. I have even heard a couple American songs on the radio. It is nice to occasionally hear/see something familiar to me.
