The Hardest Challenge of My Life

Usually my sports class is pretty easy going and fun, today though, that all changed. We traveled off-campus (in the teachers car, which is way too tiny to fit all the people we crammed in it) to find the largest set of stairs I have ever seen in my entire life. We then proceeded to climb those stairs in a variety of pain-creating, asthma-inducing ways… 9 times. I almost died. After some precise calculations i discovered that by the end of this ordeal, we had ran, skipped, and hopped our way up around a staggering 140 flights of stairs. My legs are still shaking and they feel like jello. Tomorrow is going to be hell, and if I don't show up at school… It is because I can’t walk. These Finns sure are obsessed with fitness. They all go to the gym and do a ton of running, so it’s no wonder everyone around here is fit as a fiddle. I usually walk several miles a day, just going around Espoo. To and from school, to choir, to dance… I really enjoy it actually. Usually at home I drive everywhere, but here I have to walk and I am actually loving it. It is very relaxing and peaceful. Of course, over the next couple days while I heal from the stairs of death I am really going to hate the fact that I have to walk so much.
