Meeting the Cops

When I got home from school today I was greeted with a very confusing question from Jarno that he asked me several times. He told me that his cop friends were going to come over and he was wondering if I wanted to, "watch cop car," with them. I had no idea what he was talking about. My first thought was a tv show so I just said yes and that was the end of it until his cop buddies showed up in full uniform, gear and everything with their awesome Finnish cop car. Turns out he was asking if I wanted to SEE a cop car. That made so much more sense. It was so cool. I got to sit in the car and I got a full tour of all the interworking of the car. Each officer had 2 guns on them at all times, bullet proof armor underneath their regular cop jumpsuit thingy, beating sticks, etc. They showed me all their gear in the back that they carry around with them everyday... Like machine guns and rifles. They apologized for being a little dirty because this morning they had to wrestle with one of their "customers," as they called the criminal. It was so cool and crazy to think that they do stuff like that every day. (Especially since it is Finland, they have to handle A LOT of drunk people. I mean seriously, at 2:00 in the afternoon there were drunk people that had to be escorted out of a shopping mall. People tend to drink a lot here. ANYWAYS, moving on, I spent a relaxing yet frustrating evening trying to figure out how to get Netflix to work on their PS3. It took awhile, but we finally got it done after and hour and a half. The kids then watched the first Airbuddies movie while Sari built a fire. It was one of those really nice evenings where we just relaxed together, all doing different things, but all just enjoying each other’s company. It has been a hectic week and I think everyone needed a little break from the craziness. Also, I think they are all trying to mentally prepare for the funeral tomorrow. I am not going. I didn't think it would be a good idea since I never met him and I would be a burden just tagging along with the family.
