My Fifth Year of High School

My teachers at school have all been very kind and understanding about me not knowing Finnish yet. They change all the tests to english so that I can at least try not to fail them. Right now the only class that I am worried about it math. Usually I am fine in math, but the problem is that when I need help there is no one that I can really count on to be able to help me. Sure there are people that try and help, but the language barrier makes teaching very hard, even if they are good at english. It was a very bad idea to take a hard math class. It is a senior-level, high math course. You can bet that I am not going to take it next term. Also, though the tests are in English, the classes are not. So that makes it very hard. In one of my classes I literally sit there for 75 minutes, n

ot allowed to use my phone, not able to take notes, not able to understand anything the teacher says, while he stands there and lectures the whole class period. That class is VERY tiring to be in. My Finnish classes are every Monday and Wednesday, and I am starting to learn more! I am able to pick out words in conversations so that I know sort of what people are discussing. Still though, Finnish is an extremely hard language and having to memorize so many words while also being constantly surrounded by new things makes for a very exhausting (and rewarding) experience. Shout out to Camden Dammeyer who gave me this amazing Dictionary/Phrasebook that has saved my life almost more times than google translate. :)
