Embarrassed and Trying New Things

Today was the first day of the new term! I am in two sports classes, and today I got lucky and got completely smashed in the face by a soccer ball. And then I started crying because it hurt so much, in front of everyone. And my face got super red, not only because I was crying, but because my nose had just gotten decimated by some idiot chucking balls at his friend. Luckily I have some awesome friends in the class who helped me out. Not the best afternoon ever, but the night was awesome. I can’t describe how great it was, because I tried so many new things and I did things that I never would have done a year ago. I learned new things that are fun, things that are not fun, and I am so glad I went. I actually almost didn't go. I had no idea that I was going out until 7:00 when Mori called me yelling about how I had to get on the next train to Helsinki. I was already in my pajamas preparing for a night with the host siblings, but Sari was very supportive and pushed me to go. At 7:15 she drove me to the train station and I was off towards the city. I won’t give too many details from the night, but we had an amazing time.
