Today I was supposed to go into Turku to meet my friend, an exchange student from the Czech Republic that I met at the first orientation, but I ended up having to cancel because I had a fever. We ended up relaxing at home all day. This was good because it gave me time to read my books.
I have read around eight books since I have gotten here. When I was younger, a read constantly. It was literally non-stop. I would get in trouble in school because I would be so involved in my book that I wouldn't notice when we moved on to a different subject. Once I reached high school, something happened and I just stopped reading. Maybe I struggled to find books that I liked, or maybe it was because I was too busy. I don't know. Occasionally I would find one, but I quickly finished it and then I would return to the sad, bookless world I lived in. Finally here I have begun reading again. I have remembered my love for books and I know that I won’t stop now.
