Update on my Finnish skills- or really lack thereof. So I have been going to Finnish classes for a couple weeks now, and they are definitely helping me, but not as fast as I want to be learning. I know the basics. I can do small talk. Understanding regular conversations isn't something I usually am able to do. I want to learn this language so badly, but I cannot even describe how difficult it is. I have to hear a new word 500 times before I am able to use it myself. And the grammar is insanely different than anything I have encountered. They don't use words like “from” or “to” and instead add on endings to words. Not only that but the spoken language is completely different than the written one. They are like two separate languages! I am not complaining, but I need to work harder if I am going to get anywhere with this language. I am going to spend time every day learning new words and studying. (Also if you haven't noticed I'm having fun playing with fonts) :)
