Lapland Trip Part Three!!

This time I am going to talk about the awesome day where we went snowshoeing. I think it was my favorite thing that we did while we were there. We went to a super old outdoor theatre that they still use. A couple summers ago Adele sang there apparently. The unique thing about the theatre is that the audience is really far away, sitting up on the edge of a cliff. The echo of the rocks provide a really unique and clear sound. It was beautiful weather and I felt like I was in the movie Frozen. I may or may not have sang some songs from it including Let It Go. We also went ice fishing, but at that point we were all cold from being outside for the past 4 hours and even though we stayed there for an hour nobody caught anything. We were using shrimp as bait. The ice was about 40 cm thick and we got to drill out own holes. In between snowshoeing and ice fishing we stopped to roast our makkara. It is a Finnish sausage that we ate almost every day here. It is so common to have makkara that anywhere you go you can find fires for people to roast them over. Any ski slopes you go to, the reindeer farm, it doesn't matter, there will be a fire for you.
