Kinder Eggs

For those of you who have never traveled to Europe, you will not know the joys of kinder eggs. Are they chocolate? Are they toys? America may never know because THEY ARE BANNED. They are illegal in the United States because they have a "Non-edible object embedded in it." It would be kind of impossible for a small child to eat the toy, not only because the container is far to big to eat, but also because the containers are hard to open, even for an adult. Kinder eggs are really meant for young children, however, since I was not exposed to the joys of them when I was little I find myself obsessed and fascinated by them. The toys can be anything. They must have 100's of different ones because you almost never find repeats of a toy. They cost anywhere from 1 euro to 75 cents. Don't even think about trying to smuggle them into the United States, you will be fined $1,200 for every egg that they find. Seems a bit excessive for a bit of candy doesn't it? Here is me opening a kinder egg that was given to me by my host grandmother. The chocolate tastes good, better than hersheys, so I don't buy it JUST for the toys... I also enjoy eating the chocolate. :)
